As a central Kentucky native, I’ve always enjoyed choosing
from a variety of natural inspirations. Whether I’m trail-trekking or star-gazing,
I know the patterns and organic textures there will find themselves
creatively translated into sterling silver.
To begin, I use flame-warmed tools and hours of drip-dropped wax to create an original, one-of-a-kind model. What follows is the magic of casting: I surround this wax model with a high temperature plaster, then melt out the wax, and pour molten silver in its place; the plaster-like mold is broken during this process and only the silver remains.
Each piece is finished by hand to highlight and refine the details present in every specimen-like creation. For observers, adventurers, and collectors, I hope this crossroads of art and imagination holds the happiness of discovery and wonder!
